WordPressで使用可能な画像の拡張子をまとめてみた

初期設定のWordpressで使うことができる画像の拡張子

wordpressの初期設定で使用可能な画像の拡張子は以下になります。(画像以外はもっとあります）

・jpg, jpeg, jpe
・gif
・png
・bmp
・tif, tiff
・ico

意外と少ないですね。PhotoshopやIllustratorで作った拡張子がpsdやaiの画像ファイルはアップロードできないようです。

PhotoshopやIllustratorで作成した画像をWordpressに投稿する

PhotoshopやIllustratorで作った画像はWordpressに設置されているfunctions.phpというファイルを書き換えることでアップロードできるようになります。

指定した特定の拡張子でしか投稿できないように制限もできる

特定の画像の拡張子しか投稿できないように制限を加えることもできます。

これも同じくfunctions.phpにコピペしていきます。今回は例としてjpgファイルしか投稿できないような指定をします。

function restrict_upload_mimes($mimes) {
　　$mimes = array(
　　　　'jpg|jpeg|jpe' => 'image/jpeg',
　　);
　　return $mimes;
}
add_filter('upload_mimes','restrict_upload_mimes');

これによりjpgファイルしか投稿できない設定が完了しました。他の拡張子でも’jpg|jpeg|jpe’ => ‘image/jpeg’,の部分を書き換えることで自分で選んだ拡張子に制限することができます。

指定した特定の拡張子のみアップロードできないようにもできる

さきほど紹介した２つで十分だとは思いますがコードはなるべく短い方が便利ですよね。
指定した拡張子をアップロードができないような設定もできます。今回はpngファイルをアップロードできないように設定しました。

画像以外の設定も同じ要領でできる

今回は画像の拡張子指定の方法のみを紹介しましたが、画像以外でも設定することができます。

functions.phpを見ると簡単に設定ができるのでやってみてください。デフォルトではこんな感じになっています。これを修正を加えて設定を行なっていきましょう。
